FAWM is February Album Writing Month. The conceit is that you write a song every other day (at least) in the month of February, which should leave you with 14 songs by the end of the normal February month. But FAWM 2012 was a leap-FAWM. 29 days. There was the idea of the half a song left over, since this is a leap-fawm. Seemed like a problem.
This is my solution.
Lyrics were adlibbed on first take, recorded on second.
This song was extended post-FAWM.
lyrics
It’s all the same
The beginning of the end
The sense of separation
And the longing in between
I found a way
to bridge the gap between
This winter celebration
And the long months sight unseen
I fall apart
Just fall apart
Let the wind take us where it may
I can make it back
I can feel what no one says
As I’m saw in half
Drawn apart
I can feel what no one says
As I’m saw in half
We’re drawn apart
